What is Ultra Games?
How many people are in a team?
All teams are made up of 4 competitors. A team can be 4 females, 4 males or a mixed team of 2 females and 2 males.
Which category should I enter?
There are 3 categories to enter, B.A.S.E, ROOKIE and SKILLZ.
Rookie and Skillz categories will contain traditional CrossFit movements, the B.A.S.E will be suitable for non-CrossFit gym goers.

What is different about this event?
Our event will be perfectly planned with big sound and light production, amazing vendor stands, awesome workouts. Plus, you will get the opportunity to see the UK’s fittest people throwdown in our ‘Saturday Night Lights’ event. In the lead up to the event, we will also be raising money for Cancer Research UK to add to the £22million already raised by Ultra Events.
How much does it cost to enter?
When you sign up you will be charged an entry fee of £250 for a team of 4 people.
Are there any qualifiers for this event?
No, simply sign up as a team and turn up on the day to compete.
Is there an age limit to compete in this event?
Yes, you must be 18 years old or over to compete in any Ultra Games event.
Is the event COVID-19 safe?
All of our events will adhere to government guidelines and will be safe to attend, compete and warm up in.
We will have hand sanitising stations for guests and for participants and we will adhere to social distancing rules.
All equipment used by participants will be supplied per team and will be sanitised before and after use. Each team will have their own marked area to compete in.
Do I need to wear a mask to attend?
All participants and spectators will be required to wear masks unless they are in the warmup area or competition floor. Judges and event staff will be wearing visors and masks whilst on the WOD floor.
There will be signs clearly marked for areas where a mask is required.
If an event is postponed or cancelled due to changes in coronavirus guidelines, will I get a refund?
If the event is postponed, all teams will be given the option of a full refund or to carry over their entrance fee to the new date. You would be given the choice of event dates in the same location to ensure that you would be able to attend one of them. Ultra Events have been trading since 2009, successfully running thousands of events.
How do I raise money for Cancer Research UK?
When you sign up you will be prompted to set up a JustGiving page which is linked to the Ultra Games event. All fundraising in the lead up to the event will be in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Your friends and family can support you by donating online via your JustGiving page. As a team you will be asked to raise a suggested minimum of £50 for Cancer Research UK.

How do I set up my JustGiving page?
When you sign up you will be prompted to click a link that will lead you to create a JustGiving account. Here you will need to log in to JustGiving or create a new account. Your page will be linked to the Ultra Games event you have signed up for. We set up this automation for you to make it an easy, seamless process.

Do the Top Fundraising team win a prize?
Yes! The top fundraising team will be recognised on the day and receive their top fundraiser t-shirts and medals before the event starts. Your fundraising total will also count towards your first WOD(Workout of the day) score.
How much should I aim to raise?
We suggest that each team aims to raise a minimum of £50 for Cancer Research UK, but we think you can raise much more than this!
Your individual team’s target is entirely up to you as a team, and we will be announcing and awarding the top fundraising team at the event, with your fundraising total also counting towards your first WOD score! Will money be raised on the event day?
All money raised on the day of the Ultra Games event will go to the FiiT for Life Programme, another charity we are passionate about supporting. This includes money from on the day raffles and the entrance fees from spectators. Please visit the charity page for more information about fundraising and how this works.
Who creates the workouts for Ultra Games?
All Ultra Games workouts are created by Rob Mills from CrossFit Deviant. Rob has organised several hugely successful, sold out events and has relished working on Ultra Games.

What movements will I expect in each category?
Visit our category page to see the movements included in each category and find out which category suits your team.
I can’t do gymnastics moves which should category I enter?
If you can’t or would rather not compete in workouts which include gymnastic moves, we recommend taking part in our B.A.S.E or Rookie categories.
Can my friends and family come and watch?
Yes! There is a minimum entry fee of £10 per person and we donate 100% of this fee to the FiiT for Life Programme.
Will there be parking at the event?
Yes, all Ultra Games events will have car parking available.
Parking at the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester will be free.
Do I need to fill in a PARQ before I take part?
Yes, each team member will need to complete an online form which will be emailed to you as soon as your sign up. It is also available in your account.
What does my entry fee include?
All participants will receive an Ultra Games t-shirt on the day of the event and entry to the Saturday night lights invitational event. We will also have professional photographers and videographers at the event and all coverage will be put on social media free of charge. The Fee also goes to cover the cost of sound and light production, compere, insurance, seminars, venue hire and all the other things that make an Ultra Games event special.
Will there be trade stands at the event?
We will have lots of trade stalls available on the day selling food and drink, equipment, clothing and so much more. There will be plenty to keep you busy over the weekend.
What happens if a team member drops out?
If a member of your team drops out for any reason you can replace them by logging into your account and changing over the name of the participant. The new team member MUST fill out a PARQ form.
Can my team choose our entrance music?
Yes! At Ultra Games we will have a huge sound and light show with a DJ, your team can choose your entrance music which will be played when you enter. We want you to feel like superstars on the day so you can log into your account and select your favourite music to be called on to the games floor for each event. If you don’t want to pick specific music our DJ will choose a track on your behalf.
Are there any hotels close the venue?
You can find details of hotels that we recommend on an event by event basis. We recommend checking out the event pages.
Will there be a recovery lounge on the day?
RX Recovery will be providing treatments and recovering throughout the day including massage, reboots, strapping etc.
Will there be a chill out area for Teams on the day?
Yes, all athletes will have access to a designated area to relax in-between events.
